About

The Book

Quinn Barnes doesn’t like politics.
While he routinely takes time away from his law practice to engage in the political process as a strategist and fundraiser, he has never even considered putting his name on a ballot until prodded to do so by his mentor and father-figure, Aidan Coyle. Coyle convinces Quinn to primary five term incumbent, Saul Berg, over his support of endless wars across the globe.
As the campaign begins, Quinn is determined to realize the dream of inspiring the electorate with a brand of ethical leadership they can trust and believe in. His dream, however, quickly falls prey to Saul’s dirty strong-arm tactics which know no bounds—and threaten to destroy everything Quinn has spent a lifetime building.
In the end, Quinn is forced to choose between his idealism and doing what is necessary to succeed in the blood sport that is modern American politics.
